ALL. OF. THAT.

I need to go lie down and bask in this truth-to-power.

Though, I also have to wonder: Is there a school where they teach self-important white people, but especially white men, to think THE SAME KNOW-NOTHING GARBAGE and then say it in the SAME KNOW-NOTHING WAY? Must be. As if proximity to Black genitals and Black folks makes ANY non-Black person an expert on "The Blacks."

An invite to The Cookout from a Black person/Black spouse doesn't provide backward-ass, racist-ass Chad-splaining with a plausible cover. And it doesn't mean ANYONE wants a Chad (or a MacKayla) dumping raisins into god-only-knows-what, after they think the potato salad's been properly colonized.

Your reply to such inane, facile bullshit that was played out in the eighties--to: "I don't see color ... you should try to not see it, too, Black people, and then racism would be solved forever"--was clear, concise, and irrefutable. Well, it was those things to non-Chads.

There are some part of the social justice circles in which I move where it'd be helpful to read your reply to or hand it to every Chad who knows three Black people in some way, and thus thinks he's the Black Whisperer, come to save us all from our Black-ass shenanigans with the clear-seeing default-view of whiteness. Hell, I just might start carrying some copies for just such moments and Chads. I'm not known for tiptoeing through racist feelings like they're tulips. Thank you for this read, this speak, this grin, YOUR VOICE. And bless.
