An Unpalatable Truth: BIPOC, it’s a Numbers Game and … We NEED Them. That’s All.

I left a comment on this video that left a bad taste in my psyche. Sometimes, the truth does that.

A commenter replied to this vid with a comment: “Feeling [sic] are not a reliable path to truth”

That’s true — ha! See what I did there ?— enough. But facts are, until proven otherwise with a high degree of reasonable certainty … indisputable.

HA, AGAIN! See what I — never mind. Hey! Didja know that:

That’s a goddamned FACT. Put it in the bank and retire on it. The dividends will just grow.

Anyway. “Feeling” aren’t facts. I might feel a kinda way about a lotta things. But at the end of the day, my feelings do not change or dictate my reality. For the most part.

But MANY SIMILAR FEELINGS…? That’s a different question.

Actually, it’s a different game. A numbers game. And BIPOC just don’t have the numbers to take down white supremacy in the United States, nor the power or money. We just don’t. We’ve got numbers, true enough, but not numbers that come with power and money marching alongside. Not the influence that those bring.
