American Democracy is like a dry, dry forest in a long heatwave summer. Brittle, weak, unsuited to any form of strain. A controlled burn will do more to save trees and lives than any firefighters and volunteers — individuals — running around with buckets and hoses of water day and night. I admittedly have far left-accelerationist opinions. I make no bones about that. And not to sound like a notable MCU villain but sometimes the only way to grow a new world is to burn the old one. Systems are the same way — to regain health the poison/injury/infection must be cut out. American Democracy (“representative” democracy) is never and must never be beyond the reach of scrutiny, criticism, and dismantling.
