That FULL-ASS meltdown-burnout I’ve been avoiding juuuuust happened.

And it happened on my Tumblr dash. I saw this post (usernames redacted):

Is this the depth of our First World society? Is it really? And, yeah, I get the POV of people who can say this … but how are THEY not saying the other parts. The obvious and painful parts that go with one class of worker getting to stay home and live, and the other … neither?

EDIT: TFW … that FULL-ASS meltdown-burnout you’ve been avoiding might as well fucking happen.

I’ll hope this really burns some fucking sourdough and gets some people frothing at the one and the FOUR. If they weren’t already. (“Rhythm” is basically simple math and a little movement … if one is not impaired in either area … “rhythm” is not that hard.)

For a lot of folks, the frontline workers, those in the service fields and medical fields … those who don’t have the kinds of jobs that will pay them to stay at home … the “heroes” no one cares about anymore … the pandemic didn’t change anything, except to get far more life-threatening. Not just the worker’s lives, but their families, parents, children. People they cared for in every sense of the…
